RMUS to distribute Terra Xross 1 Indoor Inspection Drone in the US and Canada

March 13, 2025 - Rocky Mountain Unmanned Systems ("RMUS") to distribute and support Terra Xross 1 – Indoor Inspection Drone in the US and Canada. 

The Terra Xross1 Drone is an innovative indoor inspection solution, offering a robust set of features at an affordable price point. Designed for precision and efficiency, this drone is perfect for navigating confined spaces while delivering high-quality results. RMUS has collaborated with Terra Drone to develop this product to meet the needs of modern inspection teams. 

“Drones have been proven to be a very useful tool for inspecting tanks, pipelines, ship hulls and other confined spaces dangerous to humans”, says JT VonLunen, President and founder of RMUS. “Adoption by our customers has been slow due to the cost of the equipment. The Terra Xross 1 is 1/3 the price of the competition, and much cheaper to maintain, so it’s going to be a game changer for rapid adoption.” 

The Terra Xross 1 is enclosed in a cage, so the propellers, camera and LiDAR are protected as the drone is piloted through a confined space. As the drone flies the LiDAR sensor generates a 3D model or digital twin of the assets in real time. The operator can choose to take photographs or video with the 4k camera. The onboard lighting system illuminates dark spaces for simple visual inspection. The LiDAR sensor also provides position correction, for flight stability that allows for less experienced pilot’s operation.
