The RMUS F.I.D.O. (Find, Inspect, Detect and Observe) ground robot package is built on the Boston Dynamics SPOT™ platform, a highly capable and versatile quadruped robot. F.I.D.O. features a powerful multi-camera payload, with a color ring RGB camera with a 360° field-of-view for complete situational awareness. An additional pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) RGB camera with 30x optical zoom and a high resolution 640x512 FLIR® thermal camera on top adds additional capabilities. Integrated high-sensitivity microphones and amplified speakers enable two-way communications with subjects without putting an officer at risk.
The RMUS F.I.D.O. also includes the Spot Arm, which can grasp, lift, carry, place, and drag a variety of items with the arm's 6-degrees of freedom and gripper. The Arm includes an in-gripper LED illuminator and 4K camera to inspect objects before taking action. Semi-autonomously turn valves, flip levers, open doors, and manipulate other objects with constrained movement.
RMUS has worked with Persistent Systems to create a powerful communications system using their new MPU5 radio system. The MPU5 thrives in complex RF environments, such as urban, subterranean, and maritime. Designed to withstand extreme conditions in the harshest environments, the MPU5 is rated to the highest standards for temperature, water immersion, shock, salt fog, and security. The 3x3 MIMO technology uses reflections from obstructions to move your RGB video, thermal video and voice data from F.I.D.O. to your command center even faster.
Your agency’s logo and custom wrap design included with purchase. The RMUS F.I.D.O. can be ordered with or without the Arm and/or PTZ thermal camera depending on your agency’s exact needs.
